Allison Rice Therapy has an internship program. In order to gain certification, therapists are required to accrue a certain amount of practicum / practice hours. You can benefit from seeing one of our skilled, professional Intern Counsellors as they acquire hours for certification. We offer their services at reduced rates, with Allison’s supervision. **PLEASE NOTE: all appointment times are in Pacific Standard Time (PST)**

We are pleased to welcome Cait Leavitt to Allison Rice Therapy & Associates as an intern counsellor in 2024. Cait’s therapeutic approach is collaborative and judgment-free, ensuring that every client feels safe and supported throughout their healing and personal development process. She tailors her techniques from a diverse range of therapeutic modalities to best meet the unique needs of each individual she works with. She is a strong believer that everyone has the strength within them to heal and therapy can provide the safe space and tools to help facilitate the process.
Cait works with youth through to adults on mental health challenges including depression, anxiety and trauma. She has additional training within the sporting landscape and within concussion recovery.
Cait has completed her Masters in Psychology and is now under supervision to become a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through the British Columbia Association for Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). She is also a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA).
As a clinical counsellor intern, Cait uses a diverse therapeutic approach that draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Somatic Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy to help individuals overcome mental health challenges to live an aligned and fulfilling life.
